As a child, I fantasized about becoming a powerhouse in the business world, though life’s meandering roads took me down several unexpected paths before leading me to my true calling in fashion for plus-size women.
From handling the hustle of a shop floor as an assistant, to managing the front desk as a receptionist, every role taught me something valuable. Together with my husband, we dipped our toes into the waters of entrepreneurship, an adventure that, despite political upheaval back home, sparked a flame that would never quite go out.
Education and personal development were my sanctuaries. When I wasn’t wearing the hats of a teacher and a pastor, I was busy raising a family—a juggling act that demanded grit and grace in equal measure. Life threw its curveballs, and with the loss of my husband, my world turned upside down. Yet, amidst the turmoil, the embers of my passion for business and creativity still glowed. I returned to sewing, a skill that has always been a lifeline, and soon found myself crafting and selling clothing across borders, despite the immense logistical challenges.
When I moved to Ireland, I embraced a fresh start, even if it meant starting from scratch as a kitchen porter. With persistent determination, I chased higher education in nursing, and later, in business administration. Graduating with a BA in Business Administration wasn’t just a milestone; it was a doorway back to my entrepreneurial spirit, which was still very much alive and kicking.
As I toyed with the digital marketplace, through an online boutique, financial barriers emerged, testing my resolve. Nonetheless, I persevered, and in the end, my tenacity brought me to Wealth Affiliate, where a trove of support and training awaited.
